Solana Sets Record ETF Inflows and On‑Chain Activity in 2026

Solana’s ecosystem recorded multiple milestones in 2026, driven by strong investor interest in its exchange‑traded funds (ETFs) and a surge in network activity, even as the native token SOL stayed well below its historic peak.

ETF Inflows Reach All‑Time High

Cumulative net inflows into U.S. spot Solana ETFs topped $1.22 billion, according to Farside Investors data. The week’s peak came on Monday with $33.5 million, the largest single‑day inflow of the year and the fifth consecutive day of net additions. Bitwise’s BSOL product accounts for the majority of the total, while Tuttle’s TSOL has experienced net outflows for most of the period.

On‑Chain Transaction Volume Breaks Records

The Solana network processed 4.2 billion transactions in July, a new record and a 13.5 % increase from June. Compared with December 2025, the monthly count is up 91 %.

Part of the growth stems from a 66 % increase in block limits in July, raising compute capacity from 60 million to 100 million units. Tokenized real‑world assets on Solana now total $3.73 billion, held by more than 313 000 addresses.

Meme‑Coin Trading Surges

Weekly spot volume for Solana meme coins hit $5.2 billion in mid‑August, the highest level of 2026, after a low of about $1.8 billion in late May. The rise reflects broader competition among Solana, BNB Chain and Robinhood for meme‑coin market share.

SOL Price Lags Behind Activity

Despite the inflows and activity, SOL trades around $96, down 2.36 % on the day and 49 % lower than a year ago. The token is 67 % below its all‑time high of $293.31, though it has risen 24 % over the past week. Market participants are watching the upcoming Alpenglow upgrade, which aims to improve finality speed.
