X sues Bitcoin influencers over alleged £207K scheme

X has filed a High Court claim in England alleging that a network of Bitcoin‑focused accounts manipulated engagement to receive at least £207,384 through its Creator Revenue Sharing Program.

Alleged coordinated network

The complaint identifies six primary accounts enrolled between August 2023 and February 2026: @Vivek4real_, @Bitcoin_Teddy, @saylordocs, @TrendingBitcoin, @Kalshibacktest and @PolyBackTest. X links the first three to Vivek Kumar Sen and the remaining three to Zamyang Sherpa, while also naming “persons unknown” who may have operated additional linked accounts.

X alleges the accounts acted as a single coordinated network, posting substantially similar content within seconds of each other, liking, reposting and replying to one another’s material to inflate monetizable engagement.

Financial claims

The company states that payouts to the six accounts total £207,384, broken down as follows:

• £74,332.44 to @Vivek4real_
• ≈£50,065 (plus a smaller amount converted from Paraguayan guaraní) to @Bitcoin_Teddy
• £49,441.91 to @saylordocs
• £22,938.35 to @TrendingBitcoin
• £3,490.71 to @Kalshibacktest
• £6,705.25 to @PolyBackTest

X also estimates at least £75,000 in investigation, analysis, remediation and prevention costs.

Legal action and suspension

X suspended the disputed accounts on 18 August, describing the activity as coordinated revenue‑sharing fraud. The lawsuit was filed on 17 September in the Business and Property Courts of England and Wales (claim number BL‑2026‑001161). The pleading seeks repayment of the disputed funds, damages, interest, legal costs and any further relief the court deems appropriate.

Program changes

Creator Revenue Sharing ended on 7 September, with X launching an Original Content Rewards program on 8 September. The new system rewards original impressions from Premium subscribers and expressly excludes artificially generated or duplicated content.

Pending status

As of the latest court documents, no defense filing or judgment has been recorded. The allegations remain unproven in court.
