U.S. spot bitcoin exchange‑traded funds (ETFs) posted a second straight day of net outflows, losing $120.24 million on Wednesday. At the same time, ether, XRP and solana ETFs recorded fresh inflows, indicating a rotation toward alt‑coin exposure.
Bitcoin ETFs Continue to Lose Capital
The largest outflows came from Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB, which shed $77.98 million. Grayscale’s GBTC lost $27.22 million and BlackRock’s IBIT saw $19.53 million leave. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT was the only notable net inflow, adding $4.49 million. Trading volume across bitcoin ETFs reached $2.05 billion, and total net assets closed at $99.33 billion.
Ether ETFs Record Strong Inflows
Ether ETFs moved into positive territory with $34.75 million of net inflows. BlackRock’s ETHB led the group with $22.94 million, followed by BlackRock’s ETHA ($9.71 million) and 21Shares’ TETH ($2.10 million). Trading activity for ether ETFs was $852.09 million and net assets ended the session at $15.69 billion.
XRP and Solana ETFs Extend Gains
XRP ETFs added $12.29 million in net inflows, driven by Bitwise’s fund ($9.30 million) and Grayscale’s GXRP ($2.98 million). Net assets for XRP ETFs closed at $1.51 billion, with 30‑day inflows totaling $185 million. Solana ETFs attracted $11.73 million, led by Bitwise’s BSOL ($11.18 million) and Morgan Stanley’s MSOL ($0.56 million). Net assets for solana ETFs finished at $1.44 billion.
HYPE ETFs Slip
HYPE ETFs recorded $5.29 million of net outflows, all from Bitwise’s BHYP. Trading volume was $31.08 million and net assets closed at $464.29 million.
Outlook
Bitwise’s chief investment officer expects the fourth quarter to bring significant ETF inflows as institutional investors gain approval to allocate to digital assets. For now, the data show a market selective in its capital allocation, favoring ether, XRP and solana over bitcoin.
