Ledger adds support for Payward's xStocks tokenized shares

Payward and Ledger announced a partnership to bring Payward’s xStocks tokenized equities into Ledger’s self‑custody wallet services. The integration will let eligible users buy, sell and transfer tokenized shares while keeping control of their private keys.

How the integration works

Built with Ledger’s Device Management Kit, the upcoming feature will enable Ledger‑device owners to fund, withdraw and sign supported transactions directly from their device within the Ledger Wallet experience. Ledger’s Clear Signing feature will display transaction details on the hardware device for user approval.

Supported services and payment options

Beyond tokenized shares, Payward Services will provide crypto purchases, sales and swaps inside Ledger Wallet. Initial payment methods will include debit cards and bank transfers in Europe and the United Kingdom, with additional options planned for later rollout.

Eligibility and regulatory limits

xStocks remain unavailable to U.S. persons, even when the tokens track U.S.-listed shares, because the tokens are not registered under U.S. securities law. Ledger’s hardware support does not alter these restrictions.
