Anchorage Digital Expands Institutional Custody to Etherlink and Tokenized Uranium
Anchorage Digital has added institutional custody support for Etherlink and seven assets issued on the Tezos layer 2 network, including xU3O8, a token representing physical uranium.

Anchorage Digital announced that its federally chartered Anchorage Digital Bank now offers custodial services for Etherlink assets, adding seven new tokens to its institutional platform. The expansion enables clients to hold tokenized uranium and other digital assets in segregated accounts without creating a separate custody workflow.
Newly Supported Tokens
- xU3O8 – a token representing physical uranium (U3O8) issued via Uranium.io on Etherlink
- WXTZ – wrapped Tezos (XTZ)
- stXTZ – liquid‑staking token for staked XTZ
- USDT – Tether stablecoin
- USDC – Circle stablecoin
- USDSM – dollar‑denominated stablecoin
- WETH – wrapped Ether
How Custody Works
All seven tokens are held in segregated custody accounts at Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A., leveraging the same policy controls and operational processes used for existing digital‑asset holdings. Institutions can use their current Anchorage relationship to access the new assets, avoiding the need for a separate Etherlink custody arrangement.
Tokenized Uranium Highlights
xU3O8 provides exposure to physical yellowcake uranium, a commodity traditionally limited by large transaction sizes and lengthy settlement periods. Tokenization allows on‑chain transfer and settlement in minutes, offering fractional exposure to eligible investors. The uranium is sourced from Curzon Uranium and stored by Cameco, with the token issued on Etherlink via smart contracts.
Why Institutions Care
Demand for uranium exposure is linked to growing electricity needs from data centers and broader electrification. Institutional interest in tokenized real‑world assets has been constrained by a lack of custodial solutions that meet risk frameworks. Anchorage’s federally chartered bank custody addresses this gap, providing a regulated environment for holding such assets.
Broader Custody Expansion
Anchorage’s addition of Etherlink follows recent integrations that broaden its on‑chain service suite, including support for Frgmnt’s fUSD stablecoin, Lido’s staked Ether, and Binance’s institutional trading collateral. The firm also offers custody for the Canadian dollar stablecoin CADD and other digital‑asset services such as staking, trading, and settlement.
