A US banking regulator has barred a former TD Financial institution worker from the business after alleging she stole $41,500 through unauthorized buyer withdrawals.
Final week, the Workplace of the Comptroller of the Foreign money (OCC) revealed an order of prohibition towards Lacey Ann Henry, who was employed as a teller supervisor on the Trooper, Pennsylvania, department of TD Financial institution from June 2020 to February 2022.
The regulator says Henry accessed confidential buyer info to make the unauthorized money withdrawals from checking accounts in late 2021.
Explains the OCC,
“By motive of the foregoing conduct, [the] respondent engaged in violations of legislation and unsafe and unsound practices, which resulted in monetary loss to the Financial institution and monetary acquire to [the] respondent, and demonstrated private dishonesty.”
The prohibition bars Henry from taking part within the affairs of insured depository establishments, establishments handled as insured banks, insured credit score unions, establishments chartered underneath the Farm Credit score Act of 1971, the Federal Housing Finance Company, any Federal Dwelling Mortgage Financial institution and any related federal regulatory company.
Henry consented to the order however didn’t admit or deny the OCC’s findings. The order of prohibition doesn’t preclude different authorities businesses, together with the Division of Justice (DOJ), from bringing further actions towards her.
